Carr Memoir Shopped As ‘James Frey, But True’

carr_memoir_addiction.jpgThe New Your Post reported earlier this month that New York Times media columnist David Carr sold his addiction memoir to Simon & Schuster, but his proposal is apparently still floating through the land of literati. From a publishing industry insider:

“I can’t get my hands on this proposal to save my life because there are confidentiality letters swirling around it, and it’s driving me crazy that I don’t have it, as I hear it’s pretty good. It was pitched as ‘James Frey, but true.'”
