Carol Barnes In Intensive Care
Sad news for our British readers: Carol Barnes, the longtime ITV news anchor, is in critical condition following a massive stroke at her Brighton home. The Times of London have quoted her doctors as saying she was “unlikely to survive.”
Barnes spent nearly 30 years at ITV; she started at the network in 1975 until retiring in 2004 following her daughter’s 2004 death.
She is on life support in intensive care at the Royal Sussex County Hospital.
