The first spot from the Health Information Campaign, a project dedicated to informing the public and other audiences about the benefits of the health care bill signed into law earlier this year, debuts today. The ad, available on YouTube and after the jump, is part of a $2 million campaign. Information about the campaign and the law are also available online at AmericasFairHealthcare.org.
As New York Times columnist Nate Silver illustrated yesterday, health care is top of mind for both parties this election season and support for the law is decreasing. The campaign highlights some of the provisions going into effect on September 23.
“The idea is you don’t have to worry about the stability of your coverage anymore,” Health Information Campaign communications director Erikka Knuti told Politico.
