The dream is about to move a step closer to reality, as the Brooklyn Nets unveil the team schedule tonight at 7. In honor of the first of many historic moments, the Nets will hold its first “broadcast” on its Website, brooklynnets.com, right after the schedule is released.
“We are excited to introduce the first call from Brooklyn in dramatic fashion,” said Brooklyn Nets CEO Brett Yormark. “The stage is set for Opening Night and we are thrilled to share this historic moment with the borough and NBA fans worldwide.”
We already know the Nets will open this inaugural season at the Barclays Center against the Knicks November 1 in a nationally televised game.
With the Nets move from Newark, they become the first major sports franchise in Brooklyn since the beloved Dodgers bolted for Los Angeles after the 1957 season.
