Who says competing networks can’t sit down over a milkshake?

Above, NBC’s Tom Brokaw and Hollywood heavyweight Barry Levinson sharing a meal this week at the CNN Grill.

Wednesday night, CNN Worldwide chief marketing officer Scot Safon made sure to give his due to Barry for his inadvertent part of making the Grills happen. Back before the 2004 Republican National Convention in New York City , Scot pitched the idea of the “CNN Diner” to his colleagues and to sell the concept he referenced the iconic Barry Levinson-directed film, “Diner.”
