Fox News anchor Bret Baier spoke to an audience at his alma mater, DePauw University, Saturday morning and adamantly declared, “I am not Sean Hannity.”
Oh really? Who knew? In all seriousness, Baier spoke about journalism to a reported 675 people at DePauw about the “dramatic changes” he sees happening to the journalism industry in years to come. The writeup of the event came from a student on the DePauw website. Continuing on, Baier says programs will be more online, more interactive and catering to a generation who is not watching the entire program.
During his talk, Baier showed an old black and white photograph of himself as a news anchor at the student-run station. He said, “It is very funny to see this picture because I was just going through my stuff at home … and I found a tape, and I put it in, and it was horrific.”

The anchor stressed that his show is different from the others in that it’s a straight news program. He explained, “Rachel Maddow is not, you know, Brian Williams, and believe me, Brian Williams wants you to know that I am [not] Sean Hannity, and I want you to know that.”
