Breitbart’s Expanding

In the United States and abroad.

Breitbart, whose CEO Stephen Bannon took a leave of absence to become Trump campaign CEO, is seizing the moment, reports Reuters’ Emily Flitter. The alt-right publication is working on expanding within the United States and abroad with launches in France and Germany “as it seeks to monetize the anger and anti-immigrant sentiment unleashed by Donald Trump’s successful presidential campaign.”

The effort will include new hires and more podcasts and videos, especially in the areas of tech and media. In France and Germany, the publication’s raison d’être, according to Flitter’s sources, will be to help elect the candidates it likes, which we imagine would be people like Marine Le Pen, leader of France’s far-right Front National party, who was quick to praise Trump’s election night victory.
