BREAKING NEWS: UPN and WB networks to cease operations and merge

Wow, here’s a bombshell. This fall, UPN and the WB will cease broadcasting and transfer their programming to a new network called the CW, jointly owned by CBS (UPN’s parent company) and Warner Brothers (the WB’s parent company).

More as this develops. Amazing that they were able to keep this quiet for however long it’s been in the works.

I’m assuming ‘CW’ stands for CBS-Warners. An abbreviation for an abbreviation. Cool!
