Borders Opens Used Textbook Marketplace Online
Borders has launched a textbook marketplace on its Web site where students can buy and sell used textbooks. Barnes & Noble and Amazon.com already offer similar services.
Borders has recently been expanding its digital business. Earlier this month, the retailer launched an eBookstore. The new marketplace will include more than a million used titles with price tags, up to 90% off.
The Detroit Free Press reports: “The section was created with the Ann Arbor-based bookseller’s partner Alibris and will feature college, high school, middle and elementary school textbooks and other titles often used in classrooms.
