Boehner's Weekly Presser Comes Up Short
House Speaker John Boehner‘s (R-Ohio) weekly press conference was so short on Thursday. How short was it? “I clocked it at six minutes,” a Capitol Hill reporter told FishbowlDC. The second alleged shortest Boehner presser is eight minutes.
The reporter surmised that Boehner doesn’t want to talk to reporters with debt ceiling talks ongoing. Instead, a bunch of reporters have staked out his office to see who comes and goes. So far they haven’t seen anything.
