The first nine months of 2016 have been kind to Bloomberg Media.
In a memo to staffers, Bloomberg Media CEO Justin Smith said revenue through September was up eight percent compared to September 2015.
Bloomberg Media’s ad revenue was also up by nine percent overall in September. The jump was led by a “triple digit” increase in event ad revenue, 20 percent in radio, 16 percent in digital and eight percent in TV. The company’s global licensing and distribution business was also up 12 percent.
“As I’ve said before, while many across the industry are lagging this year, this is something we should all be proud of,” said Smith, in the note.
