BlogHer Raises $7 Million In Financing

Women’s blog network BlogHer has raised another $7 million in its third round of financing since the company’s founding in 2005, BoomTown reports. The money comes from two preexisting investors, Venrock and Peacock Equity(a fund run by GE and NBC Universal), and a new investor, Azure Capital.

According to BlogHer, the startup reaches more than 14 million unique visitors a month. It employs 30 people and uses a network of more than 2,500 bloggers (who get some advertising revenue), and CEO Lisa Stone wants to improve the tools available to those bloggers and invest in better ad tech.
