William Cope Moyers will be at Vroman’s on Oct. 12, talking about Broken, his recent memoir of drug and alcohol abuse.
According to the press release:
In this soul-baring, painfully honest memoir, William Cope Moyers offers a vivid chronicle of his life beginning with his privileged upbringing in a loving home to his first experiences with marijuana and alcohol as a teenager, his arrest for burglary while in a drunken stupor in college, his descent into crack cocaine addiction, his experiences on a psych ward and various treatment centers, his multiple relapses and, finally, the day his father found him near death in an Atlanta crack house.
