Former New York Times TV media critic Bill Carter is joining CNN as a contributor. Carter was with the Times for more than 25 years before accepting a buyout last December.
At CNN, Carter will “offer reporting, analysis and commentary on the top media stories across CNN’s television and digital platforms,” according to an announcement.
Prior to joining the Times in 1989, Carter was the Baltimore Sun’s TV critic for 14 years.
