Say Hello to the Beverly Hills Bedbug
In Los Angeles, even a story about an impending infestation of bedbugs can easily have a celebrity twist to it.
Among the places the blood-sucking scourge has started turning up on the West Coast is Beverly Hills retail. What’s more, per a disturbing December 4th article in the LA Times, the person hired to deal with the Golden Triangle incident was not simply an exterminator. Rather, Mike Masterson is a Discovery Channel reality TV star and former celebrity bodyguard for the likes of Joan Rivers and Olivia Newton-John.
Isotech Pest Management, based in Covina, won’t name the store it recently treated in Beverly Hills, but co-owner Masterson predicted that over the holidays “we’re going to see such an influx of bedbugs in stores that it’s going to catch a lot of people off guard.”
