Say hello to "Meet the Press"'s Betsy Fischer. What word do you routinely misspell? Millennium. I had a rough 1999. What's the name of your cell phone ring? It's called "free" - not sure why. What time did you get up this morning? 6:30am When did you last cry and why? Last week when my five-year old daughter, Ella, lost her first tooth. How many emails do you receive a day, roughly? 400 but about 150 or so are press releases from various presidential campaigns. I am tempted to "unsubscribe" but then I'd live in fear of missing the one really important news release. What's your favorite letter? E What single person played the biggest role / had the biggest influence on your journalism career? Easy one. Tim Russert. He hired me 16 years ago as a college intern and has been a wonderful mentor, friend and colleague ever since. I participated as a mentor in the Oxygen Media Mentor's walk in DC. I was paired up with three great young women who were interested in the field of journalism. We spent the morning walking (and talking) around the mall and monuments. Who is your favorite active journalist? Too many favorites to name - but you see them all on our Meet the Press roundtable each week. What did you have for breakfast? Nothing. I look forward to lunch. What one toiletry item could you not live without? I would say toothpaste with a toothbrush coming in as a close second. If you could have one superpower, which one would it be? I would like to be able to wiggle my nose like Samantha in Bewitched and instantaneously appear (or disappear) somewhere. No traffic, no airplanes, no commuting. Red or white wine? Red, please. PG-13 or R? I can't remember the last movie I saw. Lincoln, Jefferson or Washington Memorial? Lincoln - at night. Leg or breast (chicken, of course) Breast. (From Popeye's, of course). Friday night or Saturday night? Neither. My weekend starts on Sunday night. "Wedding Crashers" or "Old School" Wedding Crashers. The Palm or Cafe Milano? Cafe Milano in the summer. The Palm in the winter. Yankees or Red Sox? Neither. I grew up in New Orleans without a baseball team. Geaux Saints tho! Jenna or Barbara? I've never met them. McSteamy or McDreamy? McDreamy. Regrettably, I haven't met him either. Leno or Letterman? Leno. I'm a loyal NBC'er. Stewart or Colbert? Stewart. Colbert once canceled an appearance on Meet the Press. Is there such a thing as Fishbowl revenge? Boxers or briefs? Sorry, not going there.
