Photojournalist Comes to the Aid of Homeless Former Colleague

ScottSuttonGoFundMePicWe can’t think of a better way to end the week than to highlight this inspiring account from Huffington Post impact reporter Eleanor Goldberg.

It’s all about Scott Sutton (pictured), a one-time photojournalist and darkroom manager for Archive Photos, an organization that was eventually acquired by Getty Images. Since Sutton was spied and identified last fall by fellow Getty Images photographer Benjamin Lowy, this homeless-since-2012 man’s fortunes have begun to improve. He is back in touch with his sister; a crowd-funding campaign to get him off the streets is underway; and the photojournalism fraternity has stayed strong:

Since meeting Sutton, Lowy and his wife, Marvi Lacar, have been in close touch with their homeless friend.
