Bauer Media Group Expands Executive Team

New VPs will oversee advertising and consumer revenue

Steven Kotok, who took over last fall at Bauer Media Group USA as CEO and president, has made his first two appointments.

Joining the company as executive vice president of advertising revenue is Jeff Wellington, previously with Meredith Corporation, while Brian Beaudry has been tapped to serve as executive vice president of consumer revenue. Beaudry moves over from Dow Jones, where he was vice president of global commercial sales.

At Meredith, Wellington (pictured, left) shepherded Allrecipes and the Parents Network through several consecutive years of increased market share and profits. Beaudry (right), as vice president of global commercial sales at Dow Jones, was instrumentally involved in the international relaunch of the Wall Street Journal. From today’s announcement:

“Jeff and Brian are executives of great talent, vision and integrity who have achieved successful results at every stop of their long careers,” said Kotok. “I am thrilled for them to join Bauer’s executive team and look forward to collaborating to continue growing Bauer.”

Long careers, indeed. Wellington has worked at Time Inc., Scholastic, Reader’s Digest and Hearst, while Beaudry’s resume also includes stints with Time Inc. and Hearst, as well as American Media and Wenner Media. In the shadow of AMI’s acquisition this month of Us Weekly, Beaudry while at Wenner oversaw newsstand and checkout launches of the magazine.
