Barnes & Noble Updates Nook App For New iPad

Barnes & Noble announced today that they have upgraded their Nook app to accommodate the retina screen on the new iPad. Now “words and images load sharper,” according to Nook’s iTunes listing.

The Nook iOS app version 3.1.3 update also includes the ability to set the reading landscape to either one or two columns, as well as a new highlight feature designed for iOS 4.3 or later.

Barnes & Noble joins Amazon, Kobo and Zinio, among other content distributors in upgrading their app to accommodate the new tablet.
