President Barack Obama has landed the cover of Out magazine’s annual Out 100 issue, which honors the most compelling LGBT people in the world.
It’s a historic moment, as Obama is the first sitting president to be photographed for the cover of a LGBT magazine. Obama, who was named Out’s Ally of The Year, also participated in an interview with Out editor Aaron Hicklin.
“When he was sworn in on January 20, 2009, there were two states where same-sex marriage was legal,” wrote Hicklin.
