Bandai Namco Entertainment America Launches Digimon Heroes on iOS, Android

The match-three card battle game allows players to collect more than 1,000 Digimon from every era of the Digimon universe.

Bandai Namco Entertainment America has announced the release of Digimon Heroes on iOS and Android. The match-three card battle game allows players to collect more than 1,000 Digimon from every era of the Digimon universe, and upgrade their Digimon over time.

In each battle of Digimon Heroes, players tap on colored cards to create matches of three cards of the same color. These colors correspond to Digimon on the player’s team, with matches causing them to attack. Players may collect new Digimon as they defeat enemies, among other prizes.

In between battles, players can upgrade their Digimon by spending their extra Digimon as fusion materials. Users can also purchase new Digimon with premium currency.

Players can receive extra rewards by completing missions (both daily missions and longer missions), and by participating in daily or bi-weekly events.

In a statement, Jeferson Valadares, general manager and vice president of product development at Bandai Namco Entertainment America, commented:

Digimon Heroes is a perfect mobile gaming experience for Digimon fans, mobile gamers and trading card gamers alike. With a ton of cool characters, colorful artwork and deep gameplay, there’s lots to love about the game. We’re very proud of the game, which was developed by Bandai Namco Romania in collaboration with Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. With the huge lineup of Digimon fan favorites and unique strategic match-three gameplay, this is the perfect opportunity for Digimon masters everywhere to unleash their best Digimon in battle and prove who is the best brawler in the (digital) world.

Digimon Heroes is available to download for free on the iTunes App Store and Google Play.
