Baker & Taylor to Distribute Smashwords eBooks via Blio
The world’s largest self-pub eBook distributor picked up another eBookstore. Baker & Taylor has announced today that you’ll soon be able to choose from Smashwords’ catalog of 100,000 original titles published by 37,000 indie authors and small publishers.
The eBooks will be available via Blio apps for iOS, Android and PC. Libraries will also be able to buy the content via Axis 360, B&T’s recently launched digital library platform.
“Now that Blio offers the Smashwords catalogue, there is a really exciting opportunity for readers to discover the best in up-and-coming and independent authors and to have a great digital experience reading those books,” said Bob Nelson, president of Baker & Taylor’s Digital Group.
