64% of Back-to-School Shoppers Discover Products on Social Media [Infographic]

Last minute back-to-school shoppers are on the hunt for the best deals -- and they’re turning to their social networks to find them.

The back-to-school season is in full swing, which means last minute shoppers are on the hunt for the best deals — and they’re turning to their social networks to find them. According to a survey by Crowdtap, nearly 65 percent of those last minute shoppers plan to use social sites such as Instagram, Pinterest or Facebook for product discovery.

Indeed, more than 45 percent of those surveyed said they considered peer reviews before making a purchase, while only 33 percent considered expert reviews.
