On March 9th, filmmaker Ford Austin was involved in a horrific LA car accident that put him in intensive care for seven straight weeks. Thankfully, he has now been moved to a non-critical care facility.
Austin spoke briefly to Fangoria from his hospital bed, ahead of next week’s DVD release of his film Dahmer vs. Gacy. Said the 40-year-old Oklahoma City native, who also co-stars as Jeffrey Dahmer:
“I am out of ICU and well on the road to recovery. I am so excited about the DVD release of Dahmer vs. Gacy and I can’t wait to see everyone in person at future conventions. Please know that although I died twice and came back, I am here to stay.”
In the film, Austin as Dahmer and Randal Malone as John Wayne Gacy escape from a secret government lab, where mad scientist Dr. Hess (Art LaFleur) has been trying to recombine their DNA into that of the ultimate killer. Dahmer vs. Gacy was an Audience Award winner at the 2010 Bare Bones International Film Festival.
