AT&T Evil Upload Speed Cap (Gizmodo) or Just Another AT&T Network Problem (Engadget)?
Given the same piece of information, it is interesting to see how different tech news and blog sites run with it. Here’s a case in point between what are arguably the two top gadget blogs, Gizmodo and Engadget:
Gizmodo: AT&T Is Capping Upload Data Speeds
Engadget: AT&T having HSPA upload speed problems in some markets
Yep, Gizmodo lept to the conclusion that AT&T was capping data being uploaded from smartphones to their network while Engadget took the more reasonable (lacking any other information or confirmation by AT&T) that there was some kind of network problem affecting upload speed.
