Our sister publication UnBeige reports that New York-based niche art pub Art on Paper has ceased publication.
The bi-monthly magazine’s co-publishers Shelly Bancroft and Peter Nesbett made the sad announcement on Friday, adding that they still hold out hope for a revival in “six to twelve months from now, when the economy has improved.”
Explained Bancroft and Nesbett in an email:
“We want you to know that we did not go gently. In addition to making drastic changes to our daily operations, and exploring a variety of long-term strategic options, we also spent six months looking for new financing, possibly even a new owner.”
