Reuters reports that we might soon get a glimpse of what a Google phone would look like. A source close to British chipmaker ARM told the news service that it will have a prototype of a handset based on Google’s Android open source software on display at next week’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
Not surprisingly, both Google and ARM “declined to comment” to Reuters on the report.
A number of handset makers including T-Mobile and HTC have announced plans to offer Android-based phones sometime this year. Hmm. Wonder if they’ll use ARM chips.
