Arianna Huffington Talks to The New York Times Magazine

Yeah, we know, more Arianna Huffington? But her interview in this Sunday’s New York Times Magazine is actually pretty funny, so bear with us. Despite being a short exchange, the conversation between her and Andrew Goldman gets testy at several points.

When Goldman expresses disbelief at Huffington insisting that The Huffington Post isn’t a liberal site, Huffington bluntly says, “I’m not trying to tell you anything. I’m telling you things. I’m not trying, O.K.?”

Then, after Huffington explains that she plans on hiring “dozens” of journalists, and Goldman points out that hiring people seems to go against the reasons behind AOL aquiring the site, she flatly replies, “We already had 148 journalists on payroll at The Huffington Post. I don’t know how you can say that.” Oh, snap.

There’s another tension-filled moment, but we’ll let you find that out for yourself. Unless you’ve already reached your monthly Times limit, that is.
