WTOP published a story this morning that could help many Washingtonians — especially journalists who fry their brains daily on a variety of gadgets.
Andrew Mollenbeck reports about hotels in Washington that are offering packages known as “technology detox.” One could be called the “Anthony Weiner Special” — no cameras or downloading capabilities whatsoever, absolutely no hotel gym privileges and no talk of packages.
A real example: Mollenbeck discusses the “Be Unplugged” package at the Quincy in downtown D.C. Guests give up laptops, tablets and smartphones at check in. “The tech toys are then locked away until check out,” he writes.
