Archos Arnova 8 Android Tablet Now up for Pre-order
Archos’ other discount tablet has made an appearance on JR.com. It’s now up for pre-0rder for $160, which is a decent price for a basic tablet.
The Arnova 8 is based on an 8″ (800×600) screen and it’s running Android v2.1 on a 600MHz RK2818 CPU, with resistive touchscreen, 4GB Flash, microSD card slot, Wifi, speaker, microphone, and an accelerometer.
Like the Arnova 10, this tablet was designed by Rockchip, the Chinese CPU maker. The price might make you think this is a cheap junky tablet, but Rockchip designs are usually quite capable.
