Apple's Just-Announced iOS 5 Already Jailbroken

The hacker posted pictures to prove it

Well, that didn’t take long: Less than 24 hours after Apple announced iOS 5, the latest version of the operating system for iPhones and iPads, at WWDC, hackers have already jailbroken it, Geektech reported.

News of the successful jailbreak first appeared on Twitter when user MuscleNerd (apparently a “well-known member of the iOS jailbreaking scene”) posted links to pictures showing a jailbroken version of iOS 5 running on a fourth-generation iPod Touch. The images proved that MuscleNerd had managed to gain root access to the iPod and installed a few jailbreak-only apps.
