Apple Will Now Accept Slightly Water Damaged iPhones for Trade-In

Apple’s electronic recycling program now accepts slightly water-damaged phones. Previously, liquid damage would render an iPhone worthless, but starting this week, Apple will accept these phones in its stores (not online).

If the phone has water under the display or if the ports show signs of corrosion, it won’t be accepted even if your liquid contact indicator is negative.

Why Recycle?

By participating in the Apple Recycling Program you are helping the environment by extending the useful life of products that have value in the secondary electronics market.
