Apple News’ Donna Ogier Quietly Joined Snapchat to Boost Its Discover Platform

Donna Ogier became Snap Inc.'s global publishing manager in February

Snapchat quietly added Apple News senior publisher relations manager Donna Ogier to help bolster its Discover platform.

Kurt Wagner of Recode spotted the move on Ogier’s LinkedIn profile, which stated that she assumed the role of global publishing manager at Snapchat parent Snap Inc. in February.

A spokesperson for Snap Inc. confirmed the hire to Wagner and said Ogier will report to David Brinker, former president of the New York Post, who joined the company in October to lead business development for content efforts.

Prior to her stint with Apple News, Ogier served as iTunes App Store manager for news, newsstand, food and drink and lifestyle at Apple, and as magazine and iPad manager for Australia’s Coles magazine.
