Apple and Google are now the top most valuable brands, coming in at No. 1 and No. 2 respectively, according to Interbrand’sBest Global Brands 2013 list. Both brands come in ahead of Coca-Cola, which was No. 1 last year.
Apple’s brand value was No.2 last year, and Google’s was No. 4. Apple’s change in brand value went up 28% this year and Google’s was up 34%. Apple’s brand is valued at $98,316 million and Google is valued at $93,291 million.
The list looks at brands across sectors. Half of the top 10 brands on the list included technology companies. Other technology companies to make the Top 100 brands list include: Microsoft at No. 5, and Samsung at No. 8, and Intel at No. 9. According to the branding consultancy firm Amazon is No. 17 on the list.
