AP Joins the No Rodham Camp

What's in a name?

To Rodham or not to Rodham? This has been an ongoing question as media outlets continue to cover the 2016 presidential primaries. AP is going with the latter, updating its style guide this morning by dropping Hillary Clinton‘s maiden name in references to the Democratic presidential contender.

In an announcement, U.S. political editor David Scott stated that the change was made to comport with the Clinton campaign’s choice to refer to Clinton solely by her married name.
