AOL Revamps So HuffPo Can Add More Sites, Eventually Swallow Internet

The New York Times is reporting that Arianna Huffington has “taken several of its business functions out of AOL and under her control.” From now on, the technology, business development and marketing and communications entities had been a part of AOL will report to Huffington. To help the Huffington with her new responsibilities, Lauren Kapp, NBC News’ Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications since 2010, is coming aboard as Huffington’s director of global strategy and communications.

Why all the change? So that The Huffington Post can add even more sections and even more sites.
