AOL Music to Offer Tour and Live Music Show Listings
JamBase, a database that keeps track of show listings and ticket info, has joined with AOL Music to provide tour and live music show listings via the portal’s Tour Tracker, as well as on AOL Music Artists pages, according to MediaPost.
Artist pages are accessible via AOL Music on mobile phones, so it’s possible that this information will carry over to cell phones as well, though the company has provided no word on that yet. The report said that Jambase combines member-contributed information along with listings received from booking agencies, venues and record labels; it currently holds data for 40,000 artists, “[ranging] from independent musicians to mainstream performers and 50,000 listings for music venues worldwide.”
