Aol Goes Gawker, Rolls Out New Homepage

Remember when AOL (now Aol, for some branding reason) was the hub of all things online? That busy little homepage would be the first thing users saw after listening to their 56k dial up modem damage their eardrums with its buzzing and beeping.

Well now that it has been spun off from Time Warner, the company is rolling out a new homepage for a small number of visitors. TechCrunch has the details of the redesign, which looks straight out of Gawker Media’s portfolio
