Just over a year ago the Washington Post slashed their subscription costs from $40 to $10 for 20 weeks of Sunday home delivery through group buying site Groupon. Retention rate unknown, the stunt did manage to increase WaPo’s circulation by several thousand in only 24 hours.
Today the paper is back for another cheap thrill. But this time they’re offering up a full year of Sunday papers for a sensible $26 (75% off) via DC-based Groupon competitor, LivingSocial.com. At only 1.00 pm, nearly 3,000 group-buying junkies have ponied up the cash for Sunday fun days with the Post. To check it out or cash in on the deal, click here.
