Another Match Made In Heaven?

Not to be bested by National Journal / MSNBC, C-SPAN and CQ announced that they are partnering to create a “one-stop” shopping site, CampaignNetwork.org. According to the release, the site will feature an “extensive video archive of debate and event coverage from the most competitive congressional and gubernatorial races, plus in-depth political news and analysis that harness the strengths of both news organizations.”

C-SPAN’s senior executive producer for politics Steve Scully: “What makes CampaignNetwork.org unique is the ability to watch C-SPAN’s coverage of nearly 150 debates from around the country, archived online and updated as debates happen. … With the addition of CQ’s award-winning reporting, the site will be the go-to source for complete coverage of this fall’s races.”

CQ’s editor and senior vice president David Rapp: “By joining with C-SPAN to create CampaignNetwork.org, we are able to combine sought-after campaign-focused video with CQ’s political content to create a powerful and unique online resource for full election coverage.”
