Another Blow for Newsweeklies: Newsweek Prez., Pub. Steps Down

Greg Osberg, president and publisher of Newsweek, will leave the magazine and its parent company, the Washington Post Company, Folio: reports. He’ll stay until early fall. A successor has not been named.

Osberg — who left Newsweek once before, jumping to CNET in 1997 before returning in 2000 — will likely return to digital media. “I’ve made it no secret that I have a passion for the digital space,” he told Folio:. “I’ve always wanted to return there.”
