Annie Leibovitz’s Assistant Loses iPhone in Cab

annie.jpgWe think that the world is divided into two types of people: those who lose things by accidentally leaving them in taxis and those who find the things others have left in taxis. Unfortunately, uberphotographer Annie Leibovitz employs an iPhone-equipped assistant who is in the former group. Oops. Today’s New York Daily News reports that the man who found the lost, contact-stuffed iPhone belonging to Leibovitz’s assistant returned it–but not before downloading all of the contacts. Among them? Steve Jobs, Nan Goldin, Cindy Sherman, Philip Glass, Laura Bush, Steven Meisel, and Jerry Seinfeld. And someone better tell Louise Bourgeois that if someone calls and inquires as to whether her refrigerator is running, it’s best just to hang up.

Of course designer Tobias Wong has already played with the idea of the value of one’s iPhone contact list. Last year, he created the limited edition ccPhone for Citizen:Citizen.
