Former GOOD Executive Editor Stresses the Importance of 'Horizontal Loyalty'

Ann Friedman is certainly not one to cry in her breakfast cereal. Since being deposed from GOOD magazine earlier this year along with a great many others, she has quickly moved on to a Columbia Journalism Review weekly column and much more.

In an interview with NYC-based policymic.com, she hints at one of the reasons for her quick bounce-back abilities. We agree entirely with the gist of this approach, and love the name even more:

Friedman is a passionate advocate of “horizontal loyalty,” a start-up/journalistic credo “about believing and investing in your friends.”
