Angie Martinez Resigns from Hot 97
Angie Martinez, one of the most influential voices in hip-hop radio, has resigned from Hot 97. In an Instagram post, Martinez thanked Hot 97’s parent company Emmis Communications and explained that she wanted to explore new opportunities.
“This was one of the toughest decisions I’ve ever had to make but ultimately it is time to move on, to grow and to be challenged in new ways,” wrote Martinez, also known as “The Voice of New York.”
