The recently-arrived editor in chief of Wired, Nicholas Thompson, has his own hiring announcement to make today: Andrea Valdez joins as editor of Wired.com.
Valdez arrives from Texas Monthly, where she has been for over a decade, most recently as editor of the texasmonthly.com. During her tenure, she worked on the launch of two verticals and helped see the site through a redesign in 2013.
Valdez is a native Texan who joined Texas Monthly after getting her master’s from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism in 2006.
