Politico is reporting that long-time WaPo political columnist David Broder has taken a buyout. Says Drudge: “It’s the end of an era.” Says Broder: it was “a generous buyout offer.”
Don’t panic quite yet, Broder isn’t actually going anywhere but will continue as a contract worker. According to an email he sent out “the column…will not change at all,” and he “will continue to write from the same office in the Post newsroom.”
Phew, maybe the cast of “The Paper” can lend a hand over there.
