The Audit Bureau of Circulations releases its first half report on Tuesday, but Ad Age got an early look at it, and the numbers for magazines are, well, they’re just okay. Some made gains, while most were flat. Exciting news, right? Hey, this is as good as it gets on a Friday in August.
The big winner for the first half appears to be Time, which raised its paid circulation three percent, with single copy sales jumping by 16 percent. Ebony did well too – increasing its paid circulation by almost 11 percent.
Newsweek dropped off by five percent, but its newsstand numbers actually rose about three percent. Elle grew by three percent, but single copy sales dropped by nine percent.
