To paraphrase an old folk song from the 60s: “The times they are a’ baking.” It’s no secret that this country is getting more liberal with its collective ideology. That’s not to say ACLU-card carrying “bleeding hearts,” hyper-political folk. The word technically refers to people who are not necessarily opposed to new ideas or ways of behaving that are not traditional or widely accepted.
Take this latest Gallup poll as Exhibit A:
Since the 60s, when America was puff-puff-passing more than most, to now, that “liberalism” of thinking has become more pervasive than ever before. And now, as Gallup notes, more than 58 percent of America is now down with buying a bong and keeping it watered-down.
Whelp, more than 38 percent of Americans have admitted to toking once or twice before. Perhaps, it has something to do with the sweet parties all over Colorado recently. It could be the meteoric rise in “medicinal purposes” in California. Whatever the root cause, you have to imagine the effect this will
toke…take on the healthcare community.
Will you see aggressive PSAs on TV done by the Ad Council against the moral acceptance of the hippie lettuce? Can we expect heavy rotation of hospital marketing collateral illustrating what happens to the body (in slow motion, no less) when flying high out of a hotbox? If you represent a healthcare organization, might I recommend three words for you?
