AMC Orders Pilot for Show About Computer Pioneers
AMC has ordered a pilot for a show called Halt & Catch Fire, a scripted drama about the adventures of computer pioneers in the 1980s.
The show will come from AMC Studios, created by Chris Cantwell and Chris Rodgers. Breaking Bad‘s Mark Johnson and Melissa Bernstein will executive the drama for Gran Via Productions.
Here’s more about the show, from the release: “Set in the early 1980s, Halt & Catch Fire dramatizes the personal computing boom through the eyes of a visionary, an engineer and a prodigy whose innovations directly confront the corporate behemoths of the time.
