Amazon Updates Cloud Storage Service

Amazon wants you to store your digital files in the cloud. So much so, that the company has updated its Cloud Drive service with new features including new storage plans with unlimited space for music, free storage for all Amazon MP3 purchases and a Cloud Player for Web.

For a limited time, Amazon customers that buy a Cloud Drive storage plan will receive unlimited space for their MP3 and AAC (.m4a) music files. In addition, Amazon customers can now store all of their Amazon MP3 purchases for free in Cloud Drive. This includes any Amazon MP3 purchase, even those bought prior to the existence of the Cloud Drive and Cloud Player. MP3s purchased from Amazon MP3 and stored in Amazon Cloud Drive will not count against a customer’s storage quota.

And watch out Apple, Amazon has updated its cloud service to support the iPad. This will enable users to stream music directly on their device.
